Tree contest winners announced

The Slaton Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of its annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest.

Winners were Best Christmas Theme – Dollar General; Best Original Theme – Caprock Santa Fe Credit Union; Most Festive – CTE Specialized Support Team; Most Creative – Texas 1809; Most Fun – Slaton ISD Central Office; and Best Lighting – Peoples Bank.

Each of the winners will have a donation made in their name to one of three organizations: Santa Red and Blue, Meals on Wheels or  Weekend Snack Sack.

The Christmas Tree Decorating contest was sponsored by Happy State Bank.
