Slaton, other cities see drop in sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a decrease in its December sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $48,431.42 in December, a 7.65 percent decrease from December 2019. Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $672,734.99, a 4.50 percent increase from the 2019 year-to-date total of $643,737.77.

Ransom Canyon and Buffalo Springs saw an increase, while Post and Wilson saw a  decrease.
