Slaton, cities start strong in new sales tax year

The City of Slaton and other cities in the area started off strong in the new year of Sales Tax Rebates.

Slaton received $47,986.77 in January, a 23.23 percent increase from January 2020.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $47,986.77, a 23.23 percent increase from the 2020 year-to-date total of $38,939.17.

Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs and Wilson all saw increases.

Post was the only city to see a decrease starting off their year.
