Clearing the roads while under freezing temps

A tractor works to clear Panhandle Road by State Farm and other businesses so people could drive on it without sliding on ice Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 17). The nearly week long cold freeze is one of the longest in history for the area, with temperatures barely getting out of the teens until Thursday. Friday saw warmer temperatures in the 30s, allowing the snow to melt and more people to get outside to enjoy the weather. Snow fell heavily Sunday morning and evening last week, adding another several more inches of snow to the year’s totals, which are higher than average for several in the area.
