Slaton Lions to host burger fundraiser

The Slaton Lions will host a burger fundraiser Wednesday (March 10) from 12-2 p.m. in front of St. Joseph Catholic Church, .205 S. 19th St.

Those interested can drop by the food truck and purchase a burger meal. Meals include a burger with trimmings, drink and a bag of chips.

Prices were being finalized as of press time Tuesday (March 2), and updates will be on the club’s Facebook page, Slaton Lions Club, and The Slatonite’s, page, Slatonite.

Funds raised from the event will go toward scholarships for Slaton High School students. Every year, the Lions present three $1,500 scholarships to SHS seniors.
