Lamberson to be interim City Administrator

The Slaton City Commissioners voted to keep City Administrator Mike Lamberson on an interim basis after his retirement at the end of April Monday (April 12) during its regular monthly meeting at City Hall.

The Council met in executive session for nearly a half an hour deciding where they would go with the position.

Jim Taliaferro, Commissioner Ward II, said he felt that for the continuity of the City’s operations it would be wise to allow Lamberson to continue as interim.

He will remain in the position to give advice and assistance until the full Board is elected and seated in June.
