SPD arrests 1 on multiple felony drug charges

The Slaton Police Department arrested one on multiple felony level drug related offenses.

Tiffany Marie Hancock, 39, of Slaton was arrested April 22  on charges of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance, penalty group one between four and 200 grams, manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group two between four and 400 grams, delivery of marijuana between a quarter ounce and five pounds, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, and traffic arrest warrant or other.

Slaton Police Sgt. Steve Dekraker said they had been investigating a residence in reference to drug trafficking for several months.

“We had developed a probable cause to apply for a search warrant and were granted a search warrant through the 140th US District Court,” he said.

“We then executed a search warrant, along with the assistance of DPS entry team. We then searched the residence, located narcotics.”

Hancock was taken to Lubbock County Jail and has a total of $100,000 in bonds.

Dekraker said the arrests are part of 26 so far this year for drug related offenses.
