Slaton, cities see increase in May sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a an increase in its May sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $84,728.73 in May, an 23.56 percent increase from May 2020’s total of $68,571.45.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $298,380.87, a 13.01 percent increase from the 2020 year-to-date total of $264,022.87.

Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs, Post and Wilson all saw an increase for the month of May. Post however, is still down for the year.
