The Salvation Army of Lubbock hosted a Hope on the Go pop-up event Wednesday (June 16) at the Slaton Public Library.
Hot dogs were available as well as financial assistance on bills and Hope On-the-Go Crates filled with food, toilet paper and more essential items.
The Salvation Army was able to use all the money they had set aside for financial assistance toward electric bills for the Slaton community.
A disconnect notice had to be presented to receive the aid.
