2 FFA members advance to Nationals

Slaton FFA will see two people compete in National FFA contest, as well as had several earn various honors and scholarships at the State level.

The organization attended the Texas State FFA convention in Fort Worth this past weekend.

SHS 2021 graduate Rachyl Kitten received a $20,000 Houston Livestock Show Scholarship and won the State proficiency in Ag processing.

This event will advance to Nationals.

2019 graduate Wyatt Harlan received his American FFA degree and Star American for the State, which will also advance to Nationals. This is an event that alumni such as Harlan can compete in.

2021 graduate Kyle Murphy received a $10,000 Richard Walrath Scholarship and won third in senior prep public speaking.

Trent Wright, Kaylee Creager Ryan Stone and Payton Potts received their State Lonestar degree.

Slaton FFA also enjoyed several items around Fort Worth, such as going to Buccees.
