Slaton sees decrease for 2nd month in sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a decrease in its sales tax rebates a second time in July compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $55,395.19 in July, a 2.68 percent decrease from July 2020’s total of $56,924.41.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $402,369.04, a 7.58 percent increase from the 2020 year-to-date total of $374,003.32, still up from last year.

Ransom Canyon also saw a decrease this month. Buffalo Springs, Wilson and Post saw increases.
