Football teams all around the state began their quest to AT&T Stadium and a possible title Monday morning (Aug. 2) when two-a-days began.
Slaton started theirs early at 6:30 a.m. The team is trying to make up for a short trip in playoffs last season, where they lost to Bushland in Bi-District.
Head Coach Lawrence Johnson was pleased with the turnout and practices.
“Overall, we had good energy and tempo this morning. We spent a lot of time getting back to defensive and offensive fundamental,” he said.
“I was proud of our kids and coaches for the attention to detail that was on display today,” he added. “We look to build on the momentum each day and condition ourselves to be a team that makes our community proud.”
