Meet the Tigers event Saturday, season ticket sales begin Aug. 10

The Slaton Tigers began their quest to earn a District title with the start of two-a-days Monday morning (Aug. 2) at Tiger Stadium.

Fans will get to see how the team is doing Saturday (Aug. 7) when Meet the Tigers will be conducted.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Tiger Stadium.

Head Coach and Athletic Director Lawrence Johnson said they will have an intersquad scrimmage to start off the event.

The coaches will all be introduced and athletes will be introduced for each sport. There will also be a concession stand and spirit trailer  open.

There are no mask mandate and everything is at 100 percent seating capacity.

In addition, the Slaton Independent School District will have reserved seat tickets open for sale beginning Aug. 10 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Slaton Independent School District Administration Office, 140 E. Panhandle St.

Tickets will be sold according to the following plan:

2020 season ticket holders have an option on the same tickets for 2021.

They may pick up their tickets between Aug. 9 and Aug. 18. Option tickets not claimed by Aug. 18 will be sold.

Season tickets for new ticket holders will go on sale Aug. 19.

The five home game ticket booklet will cost $25. Games will be Snyder on Aug. 27 (Senior Night), New Deal Sept. 10, Odessa Compass Sept. 17 (Homecoming), Brownfield Oct. 22 and Shallowater Nov. 5.

There will be no refunds due to COVID cancellations.

Tickets at the gate and advanced are $4 adults, $2 children, $5 reserved.
