SISD conducting open houses

School days are nearly here, and with that comes open houses.

Slaton will conduct its open house today (Aug. 12).

Times are:

• Stephen F. Austin Primary – 5:30-6:30 p.m.

• Cathelene Thomas Elementary – 6-7 p.m.

• Slaton Junior High – 6:30-7:30 p.m.

There will also be freshman orientation from 7-8 p.m.

Slaton ISD’s first day of school will be Tuesday, Aug. 17.

Other schools are still getting ready or have started school for the year.

Roosevelt ISD will have a meet the teacher night from 6-7 p.m. Monday (Aug. 16).

Their Meet the Eagles and ice cream supper will be Friday (Aug. 13).

RISD starts its first day of school Wednesday (Aug. 18).

Southland ISD started their first day of school today  (Thursday) at 7:45 a.m.

Wilson ISD will conduct its open house – Meet the Mustangs – Thursday (Aug. 19) from 5:30-7 p.m.

The Mustangs will start their school year Aug. 24.
