The City wide clean up is still ongoing throughout town.

“The Clean up is going well,” said Interim City Administrator Mike Lamberson.

In fact, it is going so well the City has extended clean up days until Aug. 28.

The recycle center is open through Aug. 28 for the clean up with extended hours of 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It is free to local residents to dump lumber, limbs, appliances, metal, concrete and other household items.

The center cannot take large amounts of chemicals nor roofing shingles. Tires will be priced at $2 per tire for disposal.

There are several rolling dumpsters placed around town, including two new areas. Locations are listed under the photo at left.

The City will start looking for property that has not been maintained beginning shortly after the clean up date period. Enforcement will be enacted to correct all code violations on the property. This will include fines.
