The Slaton Economic Development Corporation approved Leading EDG to help existing and future businesses with coaching Thursday afternoon (Aug. 19) during a regular meeting at the SEDCO building.
Director Barbara Hopper said SEDCO would pay for the services provided by Leading EDG to help small businesses.
They also gave a presentation in June. “This is service that SEDCO will provide businesses to help with crucial growth,” she said. “I think they would be a good for our businesses.”
Leading EDG will help existing and future businesses with the goal of developing them and strengthening small business.
Cost for the program is $12,000 a year plus mileage, and Hopper said the money was already planned in the upcoming budget if it were approved.
