Slaton sees bounce back in August sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw an increase in its sales tax rebates after two months of decreases in August compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $76,864.59 in August, a 3.01 percent increase from August 2020’s total of $74,612.30.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $479,233.63, a 6.82 percent increase from the 2020 year-to-date total of $448,615.62.

Ransom Canyon saw a decrease this month. Buffalo Springs, Wilson and Post saw increases.
