Slaton PD assists LPD in pursuit, 2 arrested

From Staff Reports

Chief of Police Trevor said the pursuit started from Lubbock, and they received a call from LPD that they were coming into town about 140 miles per hour.

Shortly before arrival, they turned around and the vehicle crashed. The person got out of the vehicle and fled into a cotton patch.

Officers arrived and started searching the field, but had difficulty locating the person.

Barnes then contacted the Slaton Municipal Airport and had an airplane launch.

LPD then was able to use drones that had LEEDS lighting, and found the person.

The person, whose name has not been released, was arrested on a federal parole violation.
