The Slaton Independent School District Board of Trustees heard an update on COVID-19 cases Sept. 14 at the Administration Building.
Trustees heard a report from Superintendent Jim Andrus that attendance is up 40 percent compared to last year. Andrus did add there have been some COVID cases in the schools this year, but nothing compared to the previous year.
The board also approved changes made to the DAEP handbook for the 2021-22 school year. The only major change to the handbook was all students apart of the program must show a passing grade in all class to leave the program.
