Lewis honored by Masons with Community Builder Award

Slaton Volunteer Fire personnel were recognized for their dedicated service to Slaton and surrounding communities at the Slaton Masonic Lodge’s traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 18.

More than 50 people attended, and following the meal, Al Lewis was presented with the 2021 Slaton Community Builder Award.

Lewis is the second of six children born to Connie and the late Carl Lewis and has called Slaton home since the age of three. He attended Slaton schools and worked for Arvin Stafford at Slat-Co Printing during high school, where he learned the art of quality printing.
