Trio performs at Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade

A trio of Slaton High School Cheerleaders – two current, one former, were part of a group of 600 high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the country representing the camp brands of Varsity Spirit in the Varsity Spirit Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii Dec. 4-8.

Performing were Senior Christana Anzley, Junior Sierra Rodriquez and Senior Payton Potts. Potts, who has since moved, was selected to appear as a member of SHS cheer.

The individuals invited to perform are part of a select group of cheerleaders and dancers chosen as All-Americans during Varsity Spirit summer camps across the country.

Anzley, Rodriquez and Potts were selected during a Universal Cheerleaders Association camp earlier in the summer.

All-Americans are selected via tryout based on either superior cheerleading or dance skills at camps operated by UCA, Universal Dance Association, National Cheerleaders Association, National Dance Alliance and United Spirit Association (or Urban Cheerleading Experience).
