Area businesses, City to close for holidays

Local businesses, the City and area will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

United Supermarkets will be closed all day Saturday so employees can enjoy the day with their families. Many restaurants, banks and stores will also have adjusted hours or will be closed the day before and on both holidays. Call businesses for more information.

Slaton City Hall closed at noon Wednesday (Dec. 22) and will be closed the rest of the week.

In case of an emergency, call the Police Department at 806-828-2020. City Hall will reopen Monday.

The Slatonite will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for those holidays.

Deadline for items in the New Year’s edition (Dec. 30) need to be in no later than 5 p.m. Monday (Dec. 27) due to early press deadlines.
