Applications to file for Slaton ISD At-Large Trustee open

Applications for a place on the Slaton Independent School District Trustee regular election ballot opened Wednesday (Jan. 19) and will continue through Feb. 18.

Those interested in filing an application in person can visit the Slaton Administration Office, 140 E. Panhandle St., Slaton, TX 79364.

Those who wish to mail applications for a place by ballot would send the applications to the same address.

Applications may also be faxed to 806-828-5506 or e-mailed to Betty Driver at bdriver@slatonisd.net.

Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Both At-Large positions will be open for election.

Justin Martin and Kara Newcomb are the current incumbents for both positions.

The General Election will be conducted in May. If neither seat is contested, the election may be canceled.
