730,000+!: Cotton bales near 3/4 million mark as season winds down

From Staff Reports

The ginning season may be winding down for 2021, but it has set more and more records daily.

New Home is the only gin still ginning in the area.

The season started in early October.

Current bale count as of Feb. 1 is WesTex Coop finishing at 184,460 baled; Acuff-McClung finishing its year at 48,378; Texas Star Co-op finishing the year at 137,544; New Home Co-op at 89,722; Lubbock Cotton Growers finishing at 193,246 and Idalou Co-op finished at 78,576.
