The City of Slaton Commissioners narrowed down the finalists for a new City Administrator to three for interviews Monday evening (Feb. 14) during its monthly meeting at City Hall.
The Council went into executive session for about an hour and a half to discuss applications for the position, and when they returned, voted to move forward with the three.
They also swore in a new Municipal Judge.
TJ McAuley, who started his duties last month, was sworn in by Mayor Clif Shaw. He is a rotating judge and will be at City Hall every Tuesday for his duties.
Commissioners also approved a grant application for the Slaton Police Department to submit a grant application for The Improve Officer Safety with Purchase of Tasers.
