Slaton shows slight gain in February sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw an increase in its sales tax rebates again in February compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $80,732.61 in February, a 2.33 percent increase from February 2021’s total of $78,889.16.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $136,429.82, a 7.53 percent increase from the 2021 year-to-date total of $126,875.93.

Every city – Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs, Wilson and Post, again saw increases to start the year.
