Johnson resigns as Slaton High AD, Dangerfield selected interim

Slaton High School Athletic Director and Coach Lawrence Johnson announced his resignation Tuesday (March 22).

He accepted a head coaching position at Hirschi High School, which he left in 2019 to come to Slaton for his first head coaching position.

“I just got an amazing opportunity to go back to a place that Slaton pulled me from to give me my first head coaching job – Hirschi High School,” said Johnson during a Scoop Studio on the Slaton Tigers YouTube page. “(I) interviewed with them and they offered me the position to go back.”
