Trustee candidates discuss SISD issues
Three candidates for the Slaton Independent School District At Large Trustee seats were asked a series of questions by The Slatonite.
Brad Gaydos, Justin Martin and Kara Newcomb are running for one of two At-Large Trustee seats. Martin and Newcomb are the incumbents while Gaydos has filed to run as an opponent.
Early voting has begun and will continue through May 3.
The location of the election has changed.
Voting will be at the Slaton Community Clubhouse, 750 W. Garza St. in Slaton. Voting times are from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. each day, and will be closed on Friday and Saturday.
Those who vote in early voting can vote here or any location in Lubbock County.
Election day is May 7. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m., and voters will have to vote where they are registered to vote.
