By Ron Cox

The young people who work as summer lifeguards at town swimming pools were chosen because they are dependable and disciplined. Nearly all of these high school students have a vision for a challenging, productive career.

Here is the story of four lifeguards working this summer at the Ransom Canyon POA Pool.

Kate Toelle, senior at Idalou High School, plans to be a high school teacher.

Corbin Hughes, senior at Idalou High School, plans to be a physical therapist.

Brayden Brown, senior at Slaton High School, plans to be an aerospace engineer.

Seth Symerson, Roosevelt High School grad, will be a firefighter.
