Labor Day holiday closures set

Several businesses and organizations will be closed for the Labor Day holiday Monday (Sept. 5).

City Hall will be closed Monday, but will open to its normal hours on Tuesday (Sept. 6).

The public hearing for the tax rate was also moved to Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. to accommodate the holiday.

Mail will not be delivered Monday due to the federal holiday. Banks are also closed except for ATMs.

Slaton, Roosevelt, Southland and Wilson Independent School Districts will be closed for the holiday.

Lions Club will not meet Monday, and will return the following week (Sept. 12).
