Slaton sees rise in August sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a decrease in its sales tax rebates again in August compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $81,978.01 in August, a 6.65 percent decrease from August 2021’s total of $76,864.59.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $515,282.57 a 7.52 percent increase from the 2021 year-to-date total of $479,223.63.

Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs Wilson and Post, saw increases over the past year.
