Cemetery board discusses rules

A standing room only crowd addressed concerns about the cemetery to the Cemetery Board Tuesday evening (Sept. 27) during its monthly meeting.

The comments ranged from questions on rules to offering to adopt plots, but one consensus was clear: there needed to be a continued effort to maintain the cemetery and follow the rules.

The City approved action to begin enforcing the current cemetery rules and regulations during its Sept. 12 meeting that based on the recommendation of the Board.

That did not however assuage some concerns about items currently on the plots.
