Grand Occasions offer spot for all celebrations

Those wanting to celebrate any occasion, from grand to small, have another location to look at among the many in town.

Grand Occasions, located at 905 S. 2nd St. in Slaton, opened in April, offering space indoors and out for just about any occasion.

Bryce Carter, owner, said while business has been doing well since the opening, the idea for the venue however was not the original one for the building.

“When I purchased the property, I originally planned to open a store. However, I ultimately decided on a party venue because I love bringing people together,” he said.

“In every family or group of friends you have the glue of the group. I love bringing people together in celebration. Life is full of milestones and I believe that we often allow life’s obstacles to keep us from celebrating joyous occasions.

“I wanted to provide an affordable venue that was still spectacular. Pretty much I want everyone to feel like they are receiving the most bang for their buck. If that makes sense.

Carter said they did a complete renovation of the building, which is 2,500 square feet over an acre of land. The renter also gets to use any or all of the venue during the party time.

To rent it is $75 an hour with a $100 deposit.
