Oktoberfest to be this weekend
The Sausage Dinner is returning after a two year hiatus to the 53rd Annual Saint Joseph Oktoberfest, which will be conducted Oct. 15-16 at St. Joseph’s Hall, 21st and Divisions Streets.
The dinner will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
It will feature sausage, chicken, authentic German potato salad, green beans, bread, sauerkraut and homemade desserts.
Cost is $15 per plate and takeout plates will be available.
The whole weekend will have lots of activities.
Official Oktoberfest is from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Oct. 15, but bulk sales of sausage will be from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. or until sold out.
They will have regular, habañero and jalapeño sausage, which has been cured and vacuumed sealed.
It will be sold by the package and online orders can be made at www.slatonsausage.com.
Performing will be Dave Martinez, Drew Cypert, Casey Heckman, Danny Cadra and more.
The events Sunday are from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday will also feature a silent and live auction, a quilt show, drawings and more.
The Biergarten will be open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., which includes adult and soft drinks and German food.
