Cross Country teams, individuals advance to Regional

The Slaton Cross Country teams competed in District contest Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 12) at Mae Simmons Park. Both teams advanced to Regional, with the boys team finishing second and the girls third. Elijah Culver won the individual District title, while Kat Castillo and Noah Rodriquez finished second in their races. The Roosevelt Eagles boys team also finished first as a team and will advance, along with Abby Daniel as an individual for the Lady Eagles. For full story and more photos, see page A4.
