Slaton sees rise in October sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw an increase in its sales tax rebates again in October compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $64,416.44 in September, a 12.34 percent increase from October 2021’s total of $57,339.05.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $640,476.68 an 8.77 percent increase from the 2021 year-to-date total of $588,819.97.

Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs and Post saw increases over the past year.

Wilson saw a decrease.
