City swears 2 officers in, honors Dispatch employee for service

The City of Slaton Commissioners welcomed two new Slaton Police Department officers with a swearing in ceremony Monday evening (Nov. 14) during its monthly meeting.

Mayor Clif Shaw swore in Officers Crystal Perchez and Mason Robins. Perchez moved up from Dispatch to become a patrol officer. Robins, who finished Police Academy recently, was also Valedictorian in his class.

The Board also recognized Greg Marriott with an Employee Service Award for 28 years of service to Dispatch services.

The Board also approved a resolution authorizing Public Management Inc. as the service provider for the 2023-24 Texas Community Development Block Grant program-Community Development Fund Grant.

Commissioners also approved a resolution authorizing PMI also being the professional service provider for the 2023 Texas community Development Block grant.
