Trustees approve District Improvement Plan, Mindplay

The Slaton Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the District Improvement Plan for the 2022-23 year Thursday evening (Nov. 10) during its regular monthly meeting at the SISD Administration Office.

They also approved the Junior High Reading Diagnostic Instrument Mindplay for 2022-23 and a District Parent and Family Engagement Policy.

A new TEA Alternate Approved was also approved.

In discussion items, Superintendent Jim Andrus reported the District was down five students from May.

Attendance percentages have ranged from 93 percent to 95  percent for the four schools.
