SHS Mascot Tuffette appears at Citrus Bowl

Tuffette the Tiger, played by Slaton High School Junior Libby Brown, appeared at the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 2. Brown earned the honor by receiving All American Mascot at cheerleading camp last summer.  She joined 39 other mascots and 600 cheerleaders on the field to entertain a crowd of more than 42,000 fans. The LSU Tigers went on to defeat the Purdue Boilermakers, 63-7. Brown is the daughter of Dustin and Amanda Brown of Slaton. (Submitted photos)
