Joe Clifford’s art students  at Slaton Junior High have their art displayed as an art show in South Plains College.

He said there’s an estimated 50 pieces that are displayed in the gallery.

After displaying his work in Lubbock’s First Friday Art Trail at the Charles Adams Gallery for 12 years, Clifford said he became acquainted with the art director for South Plains.

He said she contacted him to have his students display their work.

“I’m in the main gallery there,” he said. “In the Hall Gallery, where all the art studios are so all the art students at South Plains can see our kids’ work. They were impressed with because it was the High School, the Junior High, even (Cathelene Thomas Elementary).”
