Slaton sees sales tax refund, no rebate in March
The City of Slaton did not receive sales taxes for the month of March.
The reason is the City is having to refund sales taxes to a business.
Slaton received $0 in March, a 100 percent decrease from March 2022’s $50,734.73.
It is one of two cities – the other Crosbyton, who did not receive sales tax rebates this month.
Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $140,935.85, a 24.69 percent decrease from the 2022 year-to-date total of $187,164.55.
The other four cities – Ransom Canyon, Post, Buffalo Springs and Wilson saw an increase.
