From Staff Reports
Shelli Crow was formally hired as the new Slaton Independent School District Superintendent Tuesday morning (May 2) during a special meeting of the SISD board of trustees.
She was approved by a vote of 6-0, pending contract.
Trustee Irma Jaramillo was absent.
Crow was named the lone finalist for the position during the April 11 meeting.
By law, the District had to wait 21 days before a final vote to approve the finalist for the position.
She replaces Jim Andrus, who has served as Superintendent since 2020.
