City approves interlocal agreement for road repair

The City of Slaton Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement for cost sharing and reimbursement for Lubbock County to repair Woodrow Road Monday evening (June 12) during its regular monthly meeting.

The repairs will be done from N. 20th St. to Industrial Drive.

City Manager Wade Willson said the funding was secured by County Commissioner Jason Corley to fix the road. Part of the repairs will be a complete “rip and tear and widening” of the road in between 20th St. and Industrial. It will then be repaved.
