Library conducting annual Summer Reading Program

The City of Slaton Public Library is currently conducting its annual Summer Storytimes and other activities at the Library, 200  W. Lynn St.

Those wanting to participate in the annual reading challenge can still pick up a summer reading tracker from the Library. Those who complete it can return for a small prize and an entry to win the grand prize.

The next event will be conducted June 29 with Storytime with Wizard Paul Bullock at 10:30 a.m.

Then, from July 5-7, there will be a Chalk it up to Kindness event, and July 10 at 10:30 a.m. a storytime with a special guest coming in.

July 14 is the annual Wildfire Prevention with Smokey Bear at 10:30 a.m.

July 19 and 21 will be Storytime with the Parenting Cottage.

There will also be a “Bee” a Crafter event June 21 .

Bullock will appear again for storytime July 25 at 10:30 a.m. before the summer events conclude with a crafting day July 31.

All events are free and will be conducted at the library.

The Library itself is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
