Slaton athletes honored at Meet the Tigers

The 2023 Slaton Tiger football players showed off what they learned, and introduced themselves to family and fans, Saturday morning (Aug. 5) during the annual Meet The Tigers event at Tiger Stadium.

There was a football scrimmage earlier in the morning, with athlete acknowledgements following.

All athletes in every sport the Tigers play were introduced: Football, Cheer, Cross Country, Basketball, Track, Golf and Tennis.

The Slaton Athletic Booster Club had several shirts with new designsfor the 2023-24 season up for sale, along with a few new items such as spirit bells.

They also fed the athletes after the event, serving a hot dog lunch.
