Ag, Commerce Luncheon to be held Monday

The Slaton Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Slaton Ag and Commerce Luncheon Monday (Sept. 25) at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Activity Center.  

This event will recognize the railroad, commerce and agricultural industry in the community and their contributions to Slaton’s growth and development.

Danny’s Fins & Hens will be catering.  

They will present awards to Railroader of the Year, Demetric Rodriquez; Farmer of the Year, Tracey Heinrich; and Farm Hand of the Year, Fermin Garcia for their outstanding contributions in this area.  

The event is sponsored by, Happy State Bank,  Lubbock Cotton Growers, WesTex Cooperative Gin, Texas Star CO-OP Gin, City of Slaton, Caprock Tax Office, Neal Aircraft, Vessels Insurance, and Caprock Santa Fe Credit Union.
