The 2023 Slaton High School homecoming will be Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. against Friona.
There will also be several activities during the week, including pep rallies and a themed week.
This year’s theme is “Here’s to a Sweet Homecoming,” which will be candy themed.
The annual parade and carnival will be Sept. 27.
The parade will line up at 5:30 p.m. at the High School horseshoe in the parking lot.
The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.
They will leave the high school, cross 20th St. and head east down Garza, then turn left on 13th St. after the County Park.
Participants will stay on 13th until they reach Bible Baptist Church.
Floats have an entry fee of $10 to be in the parade.
The Carnival will begin at 7 p.m. in the parking lot at the Blake J. Boyd Memorial Stadium.
At 8 p.m. will be the community-wide pep rally and 8:30 fireworks.
Those wanting to participate in the carnival will be able to do so, but it is first come, first served.
