Christine (Christy) Novian O’Neal

Christine (Christy) Novian O’Neal, 77, of Slaton passed away on Oct. 12, 2023.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Slaton Bible Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 27.  

The family will have a private graveside service immediately following at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.  Arrangements were made by Agape Funeral Chapel. Flowers will be received at Slaton Bible Baptist Church on Oct. 27.

Christine was born on Dec. 17, 1945, in Tahoka to Barnum and Irene Novian.  She leaves behind her five children: Vickie Arnold, Tim Meurer, Christy Reed, Scott Wheeler, and Steven Wheeler. She also leaves five grandchildren: Bobby Arnold, Christian and Kaitlin Garcia, and King and Emerson Meurer and one great-grandchild.  She also leaves behind three sisters: Margie Hood, Mary Coker, and Frances Swan. 

Christine is preceded in death by both her parents, her sisters- LeEtta Hill, Bonnie Loftis, Pauline Maeker, and her brothers – Pete, Buck, Billy, Bud and Johnny Novian.

Before retiring, Christine worked for 28 years as a USDA Cotton Classer in Lubbock.  She enjoyed working in the yard, dancing, playing games with her family, and laughing with friends.  She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends.
