Roosevelt YFL to play at Red Zone Games

The Roosevelt fifth and sixth grade South Plains Ironman Super Bowl Champion Youth Football League team will be attending the Red Zone Games Saturday (Nov. 18) at AT&T Stadium – also known as Cowboys Stadium – in Arlington. Red Zone games is a youth football event where recreation level and small town football teams ages 6 to 12 years play in NFL stadiums. 

Coach Cody Washington said the team got into the game by “making tons of phone calls” and got lucky on a cancellation.

That said, the team will get the opportunity to play four 15 minute games from the 20 yard line to endzone.
