SHS conducts annual Veterans Day Program

Slaton Veterans from all branches of service, those who served in war or in peace, along with their family and students attended the annual Veterans Day program at Slaton High School Friday (Nov. 10).

Senior Petty Officer Jay Taylor, retired US Navy, was the guest speaker at the event.

The Slaton High School Band, under the director of Aaron Rathbun, presented several pieces. Among these were the National Anthem and “Armed Forces on Parade.” Veterans were invited to stand as their song was played.
